Shelby Keiper is only 6 years old.
Shelby has Stage 4 Astrocytoma Brain Cancer.

Shelby loves the color pink, sponge bob cartoons, kittens and bunnies. Her hope is to get a pony when she gets better. She is a very sweet little girl - well loved by her classmates, teachers, family and friends.

It was quite by accident that Shelby's cancer was discovered. Shelby was a normal little girl attending kindergarten and making lots of friends. She was a bit clumsy at times, but some children just are not as coordinated as others. One day she fell off a childrens trampoline and seemed to have hurt her shoulder. Shelby's parents took her in to have her looked at and to their dismay it was discovered that Shelby had a tumor in her brain.

Shelby was scheduled for a biopsy and they were able to remove some of the tumor but not all of it.

Shelby's treatment includes radiation and chemotherapy daily; monday to friday.
